The following listing of license requirements is for spiritual healer licensing boards accredited and approved by the Federation of Spiritual Healer Licensing Boards (FSHLB) and endorsed by AAASHC:
Basic Spiritual Healing Techniques
The candidate will have a good academic and experiential foundation in the healing techniques candidate proposes to use in the candidate's spiritual healing business.
Professional Practices
The candidate will have completed an approved course, whether in a seminar, workshop or by correspondence, in basic professional practices.
Professional Ethics
The candidate will have completed an approved 10 CEU course, workshop or seminar in professional ethics.
Informed Consent
The candidate will have completed an approved 10 CEU course, workshop or seminar in creating informed consent forms. The candidate will submit an approved informed consent form and agree to have each client sign a copy of this informed consent form as a condition of obtaining and keeping a spiritual healer license.
Basic Coaching Skills
The candidate will complete a pre-approved 30 CEU workshop, seminar or teleconference course in basic coaching skills and coaching practicum. The intention of this course is to teach candidates how to empower their clients to make their own spiritual, mental, emotional and physical health care and interventions decisions.
Additional Requirements
Accredited spiritual healer licensing boards may have additional requirements the candidate will need to complete in order to become licensed. For more information contact your licensing board or the Federation of Spiritual Healer Licensing Boards (FSHLB).
What if My Spiritual Healer Licensing Board is not Accredited by FSHLB?
AAASHC will assist your board in becoming accredited if that option appeals to them. AAASHC will help you satisfy the requirements to become certified by any accredited spiritual healer licensing board. If neither of these options appeal to you, you have the option of petitioning the AAASHC Board for an exception to become a Member. We will accept you as an Associate Member at any time.
How do I Become a Licensed Spiritual Healer?
Go to the Federation of Spiritual Healer Licensing Boards (FSHLB) and review all of the accredited licensing boards. Choose one. If you require any assistance contact either the license board you choose or FSHLB. Your other option is to read the preceding paragraph and take it from there.
